Best EVER Villa in every way!!!

This is without any doubt the best villa we have ever stayed in. The description is totally correct and the first thing to mention is the close proximity to the airport (Although NOT on the flight path). The village is lovely although a car I would say was a necessity.

The villa is spectacular.There were 5 of us using 3 of the bedrooms on the first floor…as stated all SIX bedrooms are ensuite….but the first floor rooms are also with sea views!!

All the rooms are large and airy, bright and beautifully furnished and decorated.
The whole place is immaculate and maintained in pristine condition.

Breakfast was a fabulous experience and could be taken in several places outdoors, we tended to have a later luncheon out on our exploration of the amazing countryside and sightseeing expeditions. Then in the evenings we would have a late supper in the dining room with lots of local wine.

The owners were sited locally and very helpful with advice as where to go depending on everyone’s individual tastes. We did not stray too far away as we felt no need to do so as there is so much locally to see and do. Plenty choice of Supermarkets including a local one in the next village.

The pool and outside area proved popular with table tennis, darts…netball and lots of seating areas in shade or full sunshine.
To sum up…..we could not fault anything at all about this holiday and we shall most certainly return.

Fabulous holiday in wonderful house.

The best equipped and cleanest house we have stayed in. Comfort, style, peace and everything you could want. Pool was the cleanest we have swum in and views over Tivat were breath taking.

Despite being the annoying kind of guests who ask a new question every day, Hugh and Gail were helpful and prompt in assisting us! All rooms were equally lovely, though it was very hot in the upstairs bedrooms!

All the games mentioned were available and fully stocked and there were plenty of sun loungers for everyone. Annoying things we have encountered in previous villas have been inadequate fridge size and bin…not an issue at Mandelina!

We loved Montenegro; beautiful scenery, delicious food and cheap to boot.

Though we rarely return to the same place, we may well break the rule for Montenegro and another of Gail and Hugh’s villas.

Wonderful!

We are 7 friends to go on holiday every year together, and this year we chose Montenegro for the destination. We found Gail and Hugh’s villa on this website, and our stay was fabulous.

First, the house is simply amazing, very spacious, the pool is perfect, but above all, our hosts, Gail and Hugh, were incredible. They welcomed us at the arrival, explaining everything about the accommodation.

They are really available during the stay in case of need, and the check-out has been such easy for us. We had a wonderful stay, and we recommend generously this villa. We will certainly keep the address for an eventual next stay in Montenegro in a few years.

Amazing………again!!!

This was our second stay at Gail & Hugh’s BEAUTIFUL villa……. and once again we had the most wonderful holiday.

Mandelina is an absolute gem…… the location is amazing, the views are out of this world….. and the villa itself is faultless. It is unbelievably clean and literally has everything you need.As for the hosts…… well they are wonderful too! So kind & helpful……. always on hand but never intrusive.Montenegro is stunning and WHEN we come back again, there’s only one place we will be staying (for the third time!!!).

Absolutely wonderful!

We’ve not long been back from having had a fantastic week at Mandelina. The villa itself is absolutely beautiful and has been so well done. It is clean, well maintained and has brilliant facilities.

Hugh & Gail are the most wonderful owners…….they have been sooooooo helpful, from the very beginning of initially making our booking, right up until he waved us goodbye at the airport! They are not intrusive at all, and yet are on hand to help and advise with any queries/advice whatsoever. It was a first trip for us to Montenegro and we will definitely be back!……… and Mandelina will without doubt, be our choice of accommodation!! Thanks again!!! 5 stars!

Fabulous place to stay in an amazing country!

We holidayed at the villa during May 2015 and we had a really wonderful stay, I really hope we can go back again! The property is very well equipped and beautifully decorated – we really didn’t want to leave!

As a large group of friends it gave us everything we wanted, the pool, darts board and tables tennis table provided hours of entertainment! I’d highly recommend a stay at this property and a visit to Montenegro.

The food was excellent both locally and slightly further afield with many great places to visit. There is plenty to see and do in such beautiful surroundings. Thank you so much for such a memorable holiday!!!

Beautiful Villa/Beautiful Country.

I can only echo the previous reviews, this is a fantastic villa, spacious and extremely well equipped for large parties. There really was everything we needed and more. Comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms.

Arrived to find everything pristine and delicious supper (previously ordered) in fridge. The house was cleaned midweek and the pool kept in tiptop condition. The owners are perfect hosts, informative and helpful when asked, but not at all intrusive.
So much to see, and fairly hard to drag ourselves away from the many sunloungers, but recommended trips include:
Driving through Krasici and on up the peninsula, with fabulous views, to charming Rose and lunch in sunshine overlooking the bay. Back along narrow lanes between deep stone walls and olive groves.

Many trips to Plavi Horizonte beach, an easy 15 minute walk. Beautiful sandy beach, warm shallow water for swimming, and a great cafe – delicious grilled mussels and kalamari for 5 euros.

We hired a boat for the day and were taken around the bay, past Tivat and Lepetane to the islands in the Bay of Kotor, then to Perast for lunch. Would highly recommend Hotel Conte for an inexpensive special treat.

Take the spectacular mountain road from Kotor through Lovcen National Park to Cetinje – one breathtaking view after another.

So much more to see …………. have already booked for next year!

Wherever we went, the locals were helpful and friendly and we enjoyed simple, but very good, food and wine. A truly memorable holiday!

Excellent villa.

We have just returned from two weeks in this villa, already wishing we were back. We were 9 people in total and for the first time in many years we had more than enough space.

This villa genuinely does accommodate lots of people. It is finished to the highest standard and has more than enough of everything you need. We kept trying to catch them out by searching for kitchen utensils but never managed it, there is everything here in abundance.

The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are great. The villa has spectacular views and the whole area is breathtaking. It is easy to get into Budva, Kotor, Tivat or to explore the fabulous Lustica peninsular.

We would highly recommend this villa.

Wonderful villa in a beautiful setting.

This was our second visit to this villa and it never fails to disappoint, the accommodation is always very well presented and the private pool is an added bonus.

There is so much to do in the surrounding area if you so wish, visiting the beaches, living the high life at Porto Montenegro, wandering round the old town in Kotor, a day on the beach at Sveti Stephan, scenic drives up to Lovcen the list goes on. Whilst it is easy to get around and eat out it does not feel too “touristy” and the Adriatic is a beautiful coastline with crystal clear waters.

The owners of the property are happy to assist with any issue which may arise – we had a flat tyre – and we were pointed in the right direction of a reputable repair shop. Will certainly be visiting again soon.

Villa Maslina is a wonderful villa – very well equipped and perfect for a relaxing holiday.

This was our first visit to Montenegro which is such a beautiful country – lying by the pool looking at the amazing views of the mountains – what a treat!Gail and Hugh were very welcoming and helpful – giving us great advice on where to visit and good places to eat.

Beautiful house, lovely views and ideal location.

The house was lovely, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The garden, with the pool and games was ideal for relaxing and playing.

The location had all the views you could wish for. It was 5* accommodation and I would recommend it to anyone. Montenegro is a lovely country to visit with plenty to please anyone. We will defiantly be going back.

Wonderful place to stay.

We have been staying at Villa Maslina for a week and unfortunately we have to leave tomorrow. The villa is very clean and of exceptional quality with all amenities including free wifi access. Lovely pool and garden. Stupendous views of the surrounding area. Montenegro is the most beautiful country and we would highly recommend this villa.

Gail and Hugh, the owners were so nice and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Very peaceful and quiet but easy to get to the shops, beach etc and ideally suited for touring around southern Montenegro. We would recommend hiring a car.

We visited the national park and Lake Skada together with Tivat, Kotor

And other places. The beach down the road is very pretty and well sheltered. Water was so clean. We had some wonderful meals out and were very surprised how cheap it is. We found the local people extremely helpful and friendly even when we couldn’t understand the language, although many have pretty good English.

We shall be so sorry to leave and will definitely return in the future.

We stayed for a week in Villa Maslina in mid October. There were 5 adults and 2 young children. We found the location was ideal for touring the south coast and it is stunning. My parents liked the guest house for a bit of peace from the children.

The weather was warm and sunny and we had several days on Plavi beach which has fine sand and good for castle making ! The Villa is very well equipped and there is lots of everything you need.

We ordered a birthday cake for one of the girls and it lasted us all week! Hugh was very helpful with directing us to local restaurants and they loved the children the waiters everywhere were very helpful. Kotor is a bit crowded on cruise ship days better to visit around 5 in the afternoon. Don’t miss Rose and the Lustica Peninsular and a visit to the Olive Farm.

We are planning to come back for our main holiday in 2015

This was our second stay in Villa Maslina and the first for my parents. This is a very well equipped and clean place and we liked the extra space with a seperate sitting room to the TV snug. Some improvements to our first stay was the non slip tiles into the pool and a lovely red tiled roof Gazebo in the garden.

There is so much to do in the area we visited Perast and took a boat to our Lady of the Rock island, went up the Kotor steps and enjoyed wandering around Lustica. We recommend for Fish and authentic atmosphere Maestral Restaurant and for a quick bite and they will even bring you home if you walk down the Astoria in Radovici.

Hugh and Gale made us very welcome and we hope to visit again.

Good for anyone who likes sun and a bit of luxury !
